Just a little bit about us!
Robin Place Fabrics is located in beautiful Soldotna, Alaska, home to some of the world's best fishing and quilting. Pat opened the shop in 1982 with a small but wonderful selection of quality cottons, high end designer fabrics, notions and gifts. We have steadily evolved into a nationally known quilt shop. We firmly believe that our customers are #1. We love to take the time with each quilter to look for just that right fabric choice. Hoffman, Kona Bay, MODA and Kaufman are just a few of the superior fabrics we carry.
We are proud to be the home store for Letitia Hutchings and Mount Redoubt Designs. Letitia lives nearby and frequents our shop to give us sneak peeks at her newest ideas. We are delighted to carry all her books and patterns plus we have kits available for most of her designs. We use Hoffman batiks, with their very high thread count, for our fusible applique kits. Hoffman is a sponsor of Letitia Hutchings and Mount Redoubt Designs.
You will also find patterns and kits by local designers, a few that are exclusive to our shop, available in our on-line store. These have been tested and loved by many of our Kenai Peninsula customers. We are a full service quilt store with everything for your quilting needs.
Every year in June we sponsor 'Quilting on the Kenai', our annual quilt and fashion show. We are looking forward to our 16th annual gala on June 24th, 25th, & 26th in 2010. See our Quilting on the Kenai page for more details. In 2008, we hosted over 120 wonderful quilts, 100 artistic wearable's, and dolls. Our guest teacher this year will be Trish Stuart, teaching her curve technique and more.

Whether you're looking for a new project or want to learn a new technique, Robin Place Fabrics has the knowledgeable teachers to help take you to that next level of learning.
